On February 3, 2024, I attended an MMA seminar at Okami Dojo in Mexico City.
The work covered different techniques. It was not a list to memorize, but a way of seeing how a submission is built when there is control, posture, and the right moment.
One that stayed with me in particular was how to get the guillotine choke from the guard. The idea is not to force the neck from any angle. It is to set the grip, close the space, and finish the choke once the other person’s posture can no longer recover.
