As of July 1, 2026, Ittai Dojo teaches Kobudo. I received appointment No. 2026/52-03 from Okinawa Kobudo Kazoku-Kai (OKK), which authorizes me to teach Okinawa Kobudo classes, courses, and seminars in Mexico.
The document recognizes the technical, philosophical, and ethical capacity to serve as an instructor of the organization, and also authorizes use of the OKK mark on materials, uniforms, and events related to the dojo.
The appointment is signed by Noslem Torres M. Shihan, president (Kaisho) of OKK, and by Alejandro Zamorano G. Sensei, representative (Shibucho) of OKK Mexico. The organization is affiliated with Okinawa Karate & Kobudo Tenbukan Japan. At Ittai Dojo, this work develops within our affiliation with the International Okinawa Kobudo Kazokukai (IOKK) and the Matayoshi tradition.
Okinawan Kobudo is the study of traditional weapons: bō, tonfa (tunkuwa), sai, nunchaku, and other tools in the Matayoshi repertoire. Practice builds posture, trajectory, distance, and control. It does not replace Kyokushin; it complements it as a sister discipline, with its own progression.
